Y’all might have noticed, that I took down the pages that had all the book stuff on them. I’m a bit bummed about the comments poofing, but rest assured that I read ’em. I’ll have more info once we have a sell-able copy of the book available… and for people who wanted one of the bad eggs, we’ll talk, but there’s no way I’m gonna accept full price for that madness. xD
This page came out a bit rougher than I’d hoped, but con-plague is still wrecking our faces. I really hope that we’re in better shape soon, because next week’s page is a whopper.
The girls are six years old at this point. I’ll have to add a box later saying as much.
God, you’re tearing my heart out here… Well drawn, you get it across *really* well. You can really feel the agony the girls are feeling, and the hopelessness the parents are feeling because they can’t do anything about it. There are times when being a parent really suuuuuuux and this is one of those.
I liked how you showed the ages of Min Hua, Xiu Mei and Rei in the prequel, if you adopt that style it will tie the art together as well. You could even add it to the other pages so it has the same “feel” as the prequel– since this is effectively another prequel anyway.
Good Job! Your pages are the highlight of my week.
And your comments are one of the highlights of mine! Expressions are one of the few things I have any confidence in.
The only reason the age boxes didn’t end up in this one (yet) was con-plague still wrecking us. I uploaded the file at first having forgotten to put in the tears!! Had to rush back after the fact and re-export. I’d’ve done it last night, but that was spent re-exporting/modifying files for getting this book situation fixed up.
Adulting is hard. :[
