It’s supposed to be “Are you okay back there?”

It’s better to have her speaking Mandarin, it makes it clear she doesn’t speak the language and more importantly, Edmund doesn’t understand her or Xiu Mei.
I’d put an English translation in a little box as a footnote.
Unfortunately I can’t find an online translator that understands pinyin, most incorrectly identify the text as Vietnamese.
