I really love that last comment from Xiu Mei. You can see that once she calms down, she really cares about Min Hua, even to her own detriment.
I’ll never get over how much Xiu Mei opened up as a character while working on this. She definitely had the most growth from my original assumptions.
I had made that comment before. She goes from an arrogant bitch to a caring sister over the course of this arc and it is NEVER EXPLICITLY STATED ANYWHERE. This is amazing storytelling, dude.
