Rei is really one of the most chill people.
She’s the type that you could video game with and never worry about your controller getting chucked or feelings getting hurt.
Of the entire cast, she’s the one I’d like to hang out with the most.
Hey Ryan? Rei’s line in panel two – “I almost expect that anymore” it just reads wrong to me, is my brain just not working or is it a typo? Fair money on my brain not working.
The “that” is referring to people getting mad during spars in the previous sentence. The more I look at the sentence the less sense it makes on it’s own, but that’s most of the english language for me… which is awkward ’cause it’s the only one I know!
An eccentric ex-martial artist with a very strange last name who found out that his adopted daughter is a prodigy. He dropped his fishing career and started looking up old contacts throughout his homeland of Japan as well as Taiwan, Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand and China.
Min Hua Lin, a thirteen year old girl living in the boonies Yinchangxiang, China, is the younger of two sisters and fellow heiress to a little-known family style of martial arts.
Rei Haiyaou, the adopted daughter of Kenji Haiyaou, is a quick-learning martial artist who is currently traveling through China to pick up as many martial styles as possible.
Xiu Mei is the older of the two Lin-style heiresses. She doesn't show much patience toward her younger sister. Everyone in town thinks she's the bee's knees.
Rei is so cute here, especially in Panel 3. It’s nice to see her just having a conversation with Xiu Mei rather than just a huge snark session.

So lets go with my brain not working.
I *really* love Min Hua’s hair here…
First panel? I love Min with long hair.
Panel 3. Looks like my wife’s hair.
