It is the easiest thing to make. Look for Toban Djan Sauce from Lee Kum Kee. (English: Chili Bean Sauce, Chinese: 豆瓣酱, phonetically: Doubanjiang) Cut tofu into bite-size cubes, throw in wok or frypan with oil and garlic (optional), put in a couple spoons of the Toban Djan sauce and mix until heated through. Serve over rice. You can vary the amount of Toban Djan sauce to suit your pain level. My kids inhaled the stuff.
That sounds like borscht. I can only eat it with liberal doses of chili flakes and white pepper. It can be pretty nasty, especially when overcooked so the meat is flavorless.

Ooo, Mapo Tofu. I used to make that for the kids on school nights because it’s so damn easy. They’d INHALE it.
To this day the kids look at white-people food and go “meh”.
