Besides, did you prefer the arrogant bitch and wide-eyed full-of-herself prodigy you got when these two got together the first time?
Seriously, Ryan, your character development is first-rate.
My first inclination is to credit that to how long the series has gone on. I wasn’t a fan of the writing in Mass Effect, but the sheer number of hours spent with that cast gave them more emotional weight than they’d’ve otherwise had.
However, given that all of Mastery can be read through in a fairly short amount of time, I can actually take the compliment <3
It really helps that they live, rent free, in my head.
I love how you drew Rei’s mouth in panel 4. I’m not sure what you were going for there but it looks perfect giving the dialogue. I also love the mutual snark club you’ve got going here.
