It just occurred to me how weird this conversation must be from Jackie’s perspective. Unless the timeline has gotten away from me, Jackie knows that Sarah and Ash are sleeping together, but Sarah doesn’t know that she knows, and she knows that Sarah doesn’t know that she knows. Talk about having a reason to second-guess your reactions!
I was thinking something similar when this first came out. Sarah’s had a conversation like this with her mom, and still thinks afterward that Jackie never put two and two together. How wonderfully teenage naive.
It’s just being young. I have two of ’em. Every week or so you get a “Seriously?” moment.
Random things I’ve told my spawn in the last several months:
“You really thought that would work.”
“You do realize your mom and I TALK to each other occasionally, right?
“How did you think I wasn’t going to notice?”
“I think you should think about the consequences of this first.”
“So he sold his only way of transporting his stuff while he was working 3 hours away from home. Did he think about how that was gonna work out?”
I love my kids, but sometimes you just want to go “Yaaaaaa.”
So it seems everyone seems to just assume that Sarah and Ash are together– it seems more than just red-haired girl seem to think that Ash going with Andrew “opens up” Sarah’s ability to go out with someone else.
It seems the “consensus”, if there is one, is the thought is that they’re together, not just “going together because they didn’t get dates.”
A retired high school track star and NuTube athletic footwear critic. Sarah Gains nears the end of her high school career certain of only two things.
1. She will always have her best friend/romantic partner Ash by her side.
2. She has no idea what she's going to do next.
"Fortunately" for her, she's now this comic's main character!
“Our Ashley”. I *love* how this family is structured.
Having one set of parents to love you is good, having TWO sets has gotta be *so* much better.
They’ve had a pretty stellar childhood.
Oh, and do you mean “ace”?
Yeah, I’ve seen it both ways, but went with “ase” to prevent confusion with all the other meanings ace could have.
Ase, Ace, I’ve seen both spellings for the abbreviation. Ash is writing the down ending sort of romance novel with her actions I swear.
Hang in there. <3
Ha! I like the detail of the Route 601 sign!
Ah, ok, I’ve only ever seen it as “ace”. Learn something new ever’ day.
I just noticed the bunny with the bandolier. *snrk*
Blaster Bunny is a series you’ll see pop up here and there. Ari’s wanted me to get around to making some original BB content, but… you know, time. xD
OMG. My daughter’s login name in a bunch of places is “Blaster Bunny.”

You’ve got it straight!~
It’s definitely a “fun” balancing act.

I have fun readers <3
I swear I'm not trying to make fun of teenagers with this. I love my girls!

Your faces are *great*. I especially like how Jane is putting forth effort to run while Sarah is just kinda coasting along.
