….I get the feeling most of what he’s done here is make them think that they’re in a minefield of potential problems they can accidentally cause, that has a map of where all the mines are, but also that he only disarmed two or three of them. (And one of them only after they already stepped on it, while asking if it was on purpose or not.)
On the scale of being more helpful or more unhelpful…I really can’t tell. :/
