Back to the Present

Wow... That... looks pretty rough there. Good thing we know she made it through. You know, since the last time we saw her at the end of the prequel she had a lot of the scars she earned in those mini-scenes.
Alright! That was a pretty hefty side-trip! This caps off Conflict of Interests. I'm going to need to take a week or three off to get the previously unfinished pages wrapped up and get this thing in shape for printing. Keep an eye out for those as well as hopefully some in-progress bonus materials that will likely be merch plans and ideas for our table at SPX (which I'm absolutely 900% nervous about). This is going to be an expensive couple of months. Going to be reprinting the Min book again (since even the 2nd run was just terrible) as well as getting the next one printed that will include Act 1 - Ignition and Conflict of Interests, putting everything we've seen here on the site so far into printed form.

There’s been a lot of great insight into these characters though man, and I’m glad to have been onboard for the journey. Now the real show begins! When you’ve adequately recovered to get it crackin anyway. Much love, man, I can’t wait to see what comes next and I’ll definitely be looking for merch and all that so I can continue supporting one of my favorite creators.

  2. *thirty pages of screaming*

*deep breath* Oh my gosh, WHYYYYY!?! Oh well, now I have an excuse to read all of this again. Well, not that I need an excuse per se (it’s a great comic after all) but it’s nice to have a reason to distract myself from the half dozen games that I’m trying to finish. I think if I try hard enough, I can take longer to finish Final Fantasy 8 or 9 than I did 7, it only took me …(looks at Google) 21 years? That can’t be right. Meh, records aren’t that important, right?

There’s something to be said for stretching an experience out.
I just deep-dived into Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night like a maniac and it was wonderful.

      1. Wow, not only was I surprised to see I actually commented on something but I too am playing Bloodstained. Well, switching between it and Hyrule Warriors AoC when Bloodstained crashes on my Switch.

  3. Congrats on another arc finished! I loved it!

Thanks!! I’m pretty stoked to know you’re still reading 😀

  4. that the Lin family compound burning in the bootom center window?

    1. *bottom center window – I must recall the benefits of proof-reading!

No worries! I got what you meant 😀
Nope. That’s the home of the fellow we see with Rei.

  5. Man, Kenji exacts retribution. Don’t fuck with his daughter.

Are we gonna see this part of the story or is it just flashback?

I… am not sure I want to show this off any more than it has already been. It’s really unpleasant. The stuff seen here happens not too long before
Hence the sudden appearance of loads of scars.

We WILL be hearing about it though.

  6. Oh, my God. I didn’t realize all those scars came from one event, I thought it was just hard training.

I sincerely hope Kenji exacted swift and painful vengeance on him, as well as his house.

It’s not ok to do that to another living being, and if someone did that to my daughter, well, you’d find him in five or six different graves.

    1. God damnit, that was supposed to be a reply.
