What You Really Really Want

Yup. Still at the work in progress by update deadline stage. If you missed the Rei/Min/Sarah placeholder, it's still viewable here. Fingers crossed I'll have this at least inked by the end of tomorrow <3

      Self-indulgent art ftw~

  2. OMG.

    OMG OMG OMG OMG.

Don’t rip these 4 apart, please. That would hurt my heart really bad.

      Don’t worry too much.
I’m a big fan of happy endings and just don’t generally write in the will-they-won’t-they trope lines.
I’m not gonna wreck my ships <3

  3. I was mainly reacting to Min Hua’s look of “Whaaaaaa?”

Rei can be SEXY as HELL and I get the impression that Sare’s not quite ready for such focused sexiness. Her and Ash is more like… I dunno, teddy bear cuddles.

  4. First balloon, should be “hung up on making this happen”, not “hung on up”. Yes, the grammar police have arrived! 🙂

You are absolutely right! Thanks xD

  5. I know Sare’s in crisis right now, but I think we have a TON of potential in that placeholder. GO. BACK.

I feel you, but we’ll just have to get back there by moving forward!

      1. Ryan, have you thought about setting up a sketchbook site where you can put those kinds of images? EGS has a separate site for the sketchbook entries so you can browse them, but they don’t get in the way of the main story.

It might be more work to set up, but it might pay off long-term in keeping the other images online and keeping the comments with them.

Just a thought. Dog forbid I give you more work to do.

Dog forbid xD I like that.
I actually installed a plugin to make galleries just like that a few months back, I just haven’t fiddled with it yet. I’ve been a bit torn on what to do with the website as a whole. I’m not really happy with load times at all, but have been too burned out to put the time needed into making it “right”, as evidenced by Wednesdays no longer being completed post days for a few weeks now. I DO like the idea of keeping comments with the appropriate content though :/

  6. What I *really* want is to tell you that I want Ash. But I can’t do that because reasons. Aaaarrrrgghh.

Lack-of-Communication-Drama is pretty much my least favorite… but it’s also some of the most realistic.

      1. NIIIICE work with the backgrounds here, dude. Subtle yet informative, especially behind Sare and Ash.

I wish I could do that more often.

  7. Dan Shive of EGS (just as an example) has EGS, EGS: NP (an experimental 4-panel newspaper-style format that he toyed with until it gained a life of its own– he uses it for non-canon (and sometimes canon) storylines) and EGS: Sketchbook, which is just random stuff.

The cool thing is that all 3 of them are on the same RSS feed so if he updates a sketchbook in lieu of a regular comic the fans still get their dose of comics. His comments, though, are separate (there’s a reddit group for that.)

Don’t worry about being late, or posting sketches, or anything like that– it’s all entertaining and lets us see how the sausage is made.

Ari’s been trying to convince me for years to just stick with sketchier lines for the comic. Honestly, if it didn’t make coloring such a pain in the tookas I’d consider it. Sketchy is way more my favored aesthetic.

I’ll really have to consider that as an option when I do the site rebuild. I have so many sketches from the old DeviantART that I feel should be more accessible to readers…

  8. I really like it when you post the mid-work sketches. It’s cool to see the art grow piece by piece.

Doesn’t hurt that it gives me an excuse to check back in every couple days too.
